E-classroom (Burnside 511)

A newly renovated, cutting edge electronic classroom blends a diverse range of studying and learning spaces for groups and individuals and various high technology and multimedia installations. Our electronic classroom is an exceptional learning environment that accommodates 38 students. The classroom has the latest hardware and software. The high powered machines are laid out in groups of 6 to maximize both student interaction and creative learning. From the centre console, the lecturer has touch screen control of 6 large screen projectors enabling the presentation of multi‐media from three input sources (i.e. Centre console PC, personal laptop and a video overhead projector). Console features include:

1) the ability to highlight key features of displayed material with a touch screen stylus, 2) the ability to monitor, control and display on the projection screens any of the student’s desktops, and 3) the ability to restrict internet access.

You will find more information about the concept of the e-classroom, please visit this website provided by teaching and learning services.
